Third generation DiVX DVD player
KiSS Technology introduces first DVD DP-600 to new video standard
Danish KiSS Technology shows one of the first DVD players with the new decoder chip from Sigma Designs at the Cebit trade fair in Hanover 2004.
The DVD supports Windows Media Video 9, which has compression capability.
WMV9 should be four times better than MPEG-2 and twice as good as MPEG-4.
The DP-600 player is equipped with a WLAN 802.11g connection for wireless access to the Internet or the PC.
The DP-608 is also equipped with an 80 GB hard drive to store music, movies, photos and other content.
Kiss Technology is the first vendor to use Sigma’s new EM8620L digital media processor in regular consumer products as DVD players.
