Simple and Minimalistic
Timeless and Functional
Wilhelm Wagenfeld, a pioneering figure in modern industrial design, teamed up with Jenaer Glas in 1932 to create an iconic teapot that epitomized simplicity and functionality. His approach to design emphasized clean lines and practical form, setting a high standard for future creations. In a similar spirit, Svend Onø was entrusted with the challenge of enhancing the teapot’s filter to make it more efficient. Despite the seemingly simple nature of the task, refining such a design requires meticulous attention to detail and a thoughtful selection of materials. Achieving perfection in simplicity often demands a deep respect for the original design principles while pushing the boundaries of innovation. This balance of homage and advancement is crucial in both preserving the essence of a design icon and improving its functionality.
